Questions From Buyers
What is Grilamid? Grilamid is a nylon characterized by an extremely high bending strength, low density and a resistance to UV damage. So the frames are shatter-resistant, lightweight and durable.
What is an 12 x 4.5 Base lens? A lens' Base refers to the amount of arc in the lens and therefore the arc in the frame. The first number (12) is the horizontal arc. A 6-Base is a more flat, square shape creating a more scholarly look. A larger base like a 9-Base is more wrapped and therefore will appear more suited for active endeavors. A 12-Base is aggressively wrapped. The 4.5 refers to the vertical arc. 4.5 means it's rounded from top to bottom.
