From Spy Optic's Addict series, the Griffin is similar to the MC, but with harder, squared-off styling. It features a custom built Propionate frame, metal details, 6-Base lenses and 100% UV protection.
What is Propionate? It's a soft, flexible material that allows for a sleek, dense finish creating a modern, comfortable, durable frame. For the Organic Chemists out there, it's C2H5COO- (we think).
What is a 6-Base lens? A lens' Base refers to the amount of arc in the lens and therefore the arc in the frame. A 6-Base has a more flat, square shape creating a more scholarly look. A larger base, like a 9-Base, is more wrapped and therefore will appear more suited for active endeavors.
Any warranty? Yep. Spy provides a one year warranty from the date of purchase to replace any product or portion thereof which is deemed a manufacturer's defect.
