Comment: one arrived with a chip out of it on the top edge, but it was easier for me to fix it than to return it and get a new one. The chip was in the packaging.

Comment: Easy to put up, strong and looks good - has an element of "quirkiness"

Comment: A great find for the price. The mounting screws that come with it are of poor quality. You can visit a home repair store and buy 50-75lbs dry wall mount screws for around $3.00, well worth not dropping your board. But other than that very cool looking and works great.

Questions From Buyers
1. What type of wood are they made of?
2. When a surfboard is wall mounted on a horizontal plane, the bottom edge rests in the hand obviously and the board leans back with the top edge resting against the wall? The manufacturer does not specify what type of wood is used in the construction of the rack.
This is all that is indicated: "Our wood products are made of EIA and Telapak approved-Non-Endangered trees."
As to your second question, you are exactly right. The bottom edge of the board will rest on the hand and the top edge of the board will rest up against the wall. The fingers will prevent the board from sliding out.
What prevents your board from sliding off the rack? The rack is designed to safely display various items including surfboards. The fingertips will prevent any item that is being displayed on the rack from sliding off.
